TOP 5 THINGS you can do to help move things ahead further… safer… faster!
This isn't political or racial, it's not anything but economics and common sense. You can't get lost in the temporary fog of violence and virus distractions if you stay focused on the facts. Travel and hospitality businesses needed every customer to feel safe coming and spending their money before the shutdown to be successful... not just the local ones, or rich ones, whites ones or black ones… they needed all of them! "In this together" should mean everyone wants to help and can by keeping these 5 THINGS in mind to move things along further… safer… faster… and they are:
+ wear a mask (YES, wear a mask) in public to protect yourself & others
+ wash your hands frequently and clean masks & high traffic surfaces often
+ maintain recommended social distancing practices as much as possible
+ avoid close contact situations, large groups and extended periods in poorly vented areas
+ opt for outdoor, ventilated and sunny situations whenever possible
So, if we are in a hurry to get backward to "normal" than we better not forget the rents are still high, the bills are still high and yes the taxes are still high too… for everyone. And 50% capacity to pay 100% of the bills is fuzzy math that just doesn't add up. Think about it… if businesses and resorts didn't care about your race, religion or politics before the economic shutdown they certainly don’t care now when they need every dollar. So be safe, be kind and do your part and remember change is a process not an event.
